Media group first to sign up for XYZ

THE first tenant of Allied London’s XYZ building in Manchester’s Spinningfields district has been unveiled.

Global, the media and entertainment group, will occupy 16,699sq ft across the top two floors of the building, consolidating its two current offices in Salford Quays.

Among its interests, Global is home to the UK’s three biggest commercial radio brands Capital, Heart and Classic FM, and the coutnry’s only commercial news talk station LBC.

The group will establish its new hub in the north-west at XYZ Spinningfields when the building opens in the autumn of 2016.

XYZ Spinningfields is a building aimed deliberately at defining a new asset class of workspace particularly for the technology, media and telecommunications (TMT) sector and forward-thinking corporates.

Some 20% of the XYZ building will be amenity space, from all day dining to independent coffee hubs, co-work space, event and conference space, screening and cinema room, terraces and garden together with a bike park and personal fitness studio.  

XYZ’s active amenity offerings will path the way for a collaborative and creative environment for tenants as well as visitors to the XYZ community and will facilitate innovative networking, thinking and developing.

Global’s bespoke fit-out will include state-of-the-art broadcasting studios with Capital and Heart set to broadcast live from XYZ.
