Seventh framework win for Seddon

BUILDER and developer Seddon has been appointed to three regional lots on LHC’s kitchen and bathroom refurbishments framework in its seventh win of the year.

This latest appointment will see the Bolton-based company bid for contracts worth more than £500,000 from social landlords and local authorities across the North West, West Midlands and East Midlands over the next four years.

Last year LHC released £210m worth of work through its procurement frameworks.

Seddon has a long history of delivering refurbishment projects for social housing providers and was recently appointed by Salix Homes to regenerate three tower blocks in Salford through the Procure Plus framework.

The £7m contract will see Seddon retrofit the 17-storey buildings inside and out, with new kitchens, bathrooms, windows and doors, as well as the installation of new energy-efficient heating systems.

Seddon’s regional director for the North West, Duncan Williams,  said: “We have a long and proud history of delivering high-quality refurbishment projects for housing associations and local authorities across the UK.

“Our appointment to three places on the LHC framework will allow us to further showcase our skills and demonstrate our expertise in the housing sector.”

LHC director John Skivington said: “We would like to welcome Seddon on to this new framework. A lot of effort has been put into producing this framework by LHC to provide public sector landlords with a quality, compliant framework to meet their refurbishment requirements.

“With LHC’s previous experience and success in this and with the effort of companies like Seddon, we believe this framework will be a success all-round.”
