Endsleigh move safeguards 160 jobs

INSURANCE company Endsleigh is to move into nearly 25,000sq ft of new office accommodation on the edge of Burnley town centre, protecting 160 jobs.

Endsleigh has agreed terms with owner East Lancashire Regneration Ltd to take occupation of the entire top floor of Kingsway House, relocating from its existing base on Manchester Road.

The insurer will join other tenants Fuel Cards and Xercise4Less, which has 30,000sq ft.

As well as safeguarding 160 jobs, the move has potential to create a further 100 in the next few years.

Alan Kinder “Our investment in Kingsway House has already brought rewards with companies such as Fuel Cards and Xercise4Less in occupation.

“The letting to Endsleigh is good news for both Kingsway House and Burnley. Endsleigh’s commitment to the town will both protect and create new job opportunities”.

Michael Cavannagh of the Burnley office of Trevor Dawson and Richard Wharton of JLL’s Machester office acted for the landlord and tenant respectively.
