Constructor wins maintenance contraction worth £31.2m

SALFORD-based ForWorks is celebrating a double win after being appointed to LHC’s kitchen and bathroom framework, and securing a contract with Villages Housing Association.

The construction firm will deliver a 13-year maintenance service contract for Villages Housing – a member of the ForViva housing group – worth £31.2m.

The contract will see ForWorks carry out responsive repairs to 2,800 properties owned by the housing association.

The appointment to two lots on LHC’s national framework will see the housing maintenance and development expert bid for contracts worth up to £250,000 to design, install and refurbish kitchen and bathrooms for social landlords and local authorities across the North West and North Wales.

Within the last year, LHC has released £210m of work through its procurement frameworks across the UK.

The two wins follow a series of successes for the firm – including landmark contract deals with social housing providers Pierhead Housing and First Choice Homes Oldham, and recent appointments to frameworks held by Fusion 21 and Undod.

ForWorks director Steve Parrington said: “The past 12 months has been a period of exceptional growth for ForWorks.

“Our latest appointments once again highlight that we have the skills and expertise to provide a first-class service to housing associations, and other organisations operating in the public sector.

“Our contract with Villages Housing Association provides us with a welcomed opportunity to deliver and share excellence across the ForViva housing group, and is a great example of how working in partnership can produce the best results for customers.”

Launched in June 2015, ForWorks is a member of housing group ForViva – which owns and manages 18,000 homes across the North West.
