Scrum down for export push

THE export opportunities in Latin America will be showcased this week at an international trade event.

The event at Old Trafford football ground is taking place on Friday, the day before the Uruguay rugby team take on England at the Etihad Stadium in both team’s final match of the Rugby World Cup.

The Rugby Business Festival focuses will focus on the exporting opportunities available in Latin America, especially the Mercosur countries of Uruguay, Brazil, Argentina, Brazil and Venezuela.

The event is suitable for businesses from all sectors, but is particularly relevant to digital services, education and training, manufacturing and sports related activity.

The key note speaker at the event will be  Fernando Lopez Fabregat, Uruguayan Ambassador to the UK, supported by an economic overview by banking grou[ Santander, a regional overview by Paul Eadie MBE and practical advice from companies trading in the region.

The day will be brought to a close by Clive Drinkwater, UKTI North West’s Regional Director, addressing delegates.

The event is part of the new Northern Powerhouse initiative, which supports sectors and market based events admissions for companies across the North.
