Suburb gets a taste of Buenos Aires

Steakhouse Cau in trouble

CAU, the restaurant group offering contemporary cuisine inspired by the vibrancy, colour and cultural diversity of Buenos Aires, has brought a flavour of the Argentinian capital by opening in Didsbury Village, Manchester

The restaurant, on the ground floor at 700 Wilmslow Road, marks the group’s 13th UK opening to date and is the fifth of 2015 following hot on the heels of fellow northern CAU restaurants in Wilmslow, which opened in March and CAU Liverpool, in May 2015.

Further restaurants in Bath and Birmingham are set to open in the coming months.

Occupying a spacious ground floor location, the highlight of CAU Didsbury will be a traditional asado grill located in the large partially covered and heated garden which can seat 50 people for year round al-fresco dining.

The main restaurant will seat 110 with the open plan kitchen being a focal point. The key design motifs that have come to characterise a CAU restaurant will all be in evidence; including corrugated booth seating and sky and grass imagery.

Marketing director Charley Springall said: “This year we have opened in Wilmslow and Liverpool, and our customers have totally embraced who we are and what we bring to the high street.”
