Bright idea for Exhibition Centre Liverpool

UP to 925 solar panels installed at the Exhibition Centre Liverpool will enable the venue to generate its own renewable energy for the next 20 years.

ACC Liverpool Group is behind the installation with energy company E.ON fitting the array, which is expected to reduce the building’s carbon footpring by 130 tonnes a year and cut around £20,000 per year in energy bills.

The photovoltaic (PV) panels on the roof of the building should generate around 250,000 kilowatt hours annually – enough to power the equivalent of 78 average UK homes.
