Q-Park takes over 600 space parking facility in Liverpool

PROMENADE Estates has sold its Liverpool city centre car park operation to the international parking company Q-Park.

Q-Park is an independent international parking company which operates throughout the United Kingdom and Europe.

The company has acquired the car park for an undisclosed sum.

As one of the most renowned property firms in Liverpool, Promenade is responsible for developing and managing numerous commercial developments, including Queen Square in the St George’s Quarter of Liverpool and Marine Point in New Brighton, Wirral.
 
Queen Square is a popular leisure destination, boasting some of the most popular pubs and restaurants in Liverpool only a stone’s throw away from the city’s cultural attractions, including Liverpool Empire Theatre, The Royal Court Theatre, World Museum Liverpool, Central Library, St George’s Hall and the Walker Art Gallery.

This year has been period of substantial growth for Queen Square with work beginning on the regeneration of the old Rat and Parrot building to make way for new retail units and restaurants, including the recently opened burger joint Five Guys.

Queen Square car park caters for 601 cars, is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week and benefits from excellent partnerships with local theatres and restaurants.

Q-Park bosses say the acquisition will be further improved the company planning an investment of more than £750,000 to “improve the customer parking experience even further”.

In addition to the physical changes in the car park, customers will be able to pre-book parking in advance either online or via the new mobile app, Q-Park Rewards.
