Trading strong at Eagle-i

CHESHIRE-based Eagle-i Holdings, the developer and supplier of vehicle positioning and fleet management technology, said it was in the fast lane today with a strong trading update.
The Runcorn company said the last year had seen good progress in the roll-out of new solutions and services, with particular interest coming from fleet operators seeking to reduce fleet fuel costs and vehicle insurance premiums.
The AIM-listed group said that since its half year in May, ity had entered into “significant agreements” with AXA Assistance, HomeServe PLC andHitachi Capital Vehicle Solutions.
The contracts alone provide it with access to a pool of over 75,000 vehicles over the next three years.
A trading update today said: “The preliminary results, planned to be announced in March, are expected to reflect continued strong growth in sales, whilst the benefits of our investment in new staff and technology will positively impact gross margins.”
