Exact Abacus grows revenue to more than £1m

EXACT Abacus, the eCommerce software and outsourcing service provider, is reporting strong growth with revenues topping £1m for the first time in its 30-year history.

The Chorley, Lancashire company, which employs about 90 people at its facilities in Buckshaw Village as a provider of end-to-end business software solutions for multi-channel retailers and distributors, has seen strong demand from start-ups and SMEs for outsourced fulfilment services in 2015.

As a result, it has grown client numbers by 104% with an 80% increase in shipment volumes.

Consequently, revenues have grown from £708,000 to just over £1m.

Exact Abacus says there has beenn strong growth in export markets with companies based in Thailand, USA, Australia and Singapore the main source of the 12% export-client growth.

New clients include merchandising for YouTubers such Crabstickz and Carrie Hope Fletcher, indie board-game manufacturer Big Potato, and USA-based sports technology products distributor Clever Training.

The company is aiming to capitalise on its success in 2016 with completion of a new build 10,800 sq/ft facility next door to the current premises to accommodate the additional demand, due for launch in January.
