NetPlay bows out of Pools sale

AIM-listed NetPlay TV, the interactive gaming company says its participation in the sale of he Liverpool-based football pools business is off.
The company, which is behind the SuperCasino, Jackpot247 and Vernons online gaming sites, had been talking to Sportech over a potential deal.
Its shares were suspended on December 21, but were readmitted to the market today after it withdrew from the deal.
A brief statement said: “On 21 December 2015, the company announced that it had held discussions in relation to the potential purchase of the Football Pools business, albeit such discussions were at a preliminary stage.
“Sportech plc has subsequently announced they had received a number of indicative proposals for the Football Pools business and invited interested parties to submit their best and final proposals by mid-January 2016. After careful consideration the “ompany has decided not to enter into this process and has therefore terminated discussions.”
