TheBusinessDesk.com makes a flying start to 2016

THEBUSINESSDESK.COM enjoyed a record week last week, reinforcing its status as the market leader for regional business news.
An all-time high of 223,093 page views was achieved in the week ending January 10, which was a 36% increase on the same week a year earlier.
It was boosted by an email open rate of 32% and 140,000 social media impressions during the week. TheBusinessDesk.com sends out 2.5m emails a month to its audience of key decision makers, business owners and managers, and professionals, while it has a fast-growing social media reach.
TheBusinessDesk.com currently has 173,000 registered users across its three regions – Yorkshire, North West and West Midlands – and will be increasing its geographic footprint during 2016.
The first working week of 2016 has built on a strong year of growth, that saw the site receive an additional 1.2m page views, taking its annual total to a record high of 7.7m.
Mark Hales, executive chairman of TheBusinessDesk.com, said: “There are lots of exciting plans for the business in 2016, with new regions planned for 2016.
“The strong momentum from our existing regions demonstrates the role TheBusinessDesk.com has in the business communities we operate in and we will continue to develop and deepen our relationships in the year ahead.”
The audience growth in 2015 was complemented by a number of successful events, led by its Business Masters and Rainmaker award evenings, and the continuation of strong commercial partnerships with major firms and large businesses.
