Plans approved for £6m easyHotel ‘Flat Iron’ scheme

PLANS to turn Bradley House – known as “the Flat Iron” building – in Manchester’s Northern Quarter into a 116-room easyHotel in a scheme costing £6m have been approved.

The budget hotel company has also completed the acquisition of the building at the corner of Dale Street and Newton Street. It is expected to open in the 2016/17 financial year.

easyHotels already owns hotels is Liverpool, Ipswich, London, Croydon, Glasgow and Barcelona and has franchise operations in Brussels and Oman in the UAE.

Its total owned room count amounts to 390 and has a further 18 franchise hotels with 1,490 rooms.
