Manufacturers’ views sought at crunch time for industry

THE manufacturing sector has been under increasing pressure in recent months, affected by fragility in global markets and worries about the looming EU referendum while also facing longer-term challenges about structural changes to the industry and the skills agenda.

As part of a year-long project with international law firm Squire Patton Boggs, TheBusinessDesk.com published a survey last year canvassing the views of the region’s manufacturers.

The results and insight we gained from that formed part of the North West Manufacturing Review 2015, which can be downloaded and read here .

We are now repeating the survey for 2016 to see how things have changed within the sector, and to get a clearer understanding of the sentiment among the region’s manufacturers.
