After Manchester City Council’s planning committee gave the go ahead for the scheme Mike Bathurst of Knott Mill Securities said:“We are delighted to secure planning consent for what we believe will be a truly landmark building in Manchester city centre.

“The apartments will enjoy unparalleled views across the historic Castlefield Basin and will be an early part of what will be an ex citing future for this area of the city.”

Stephen Bell, Manchester office director, Turley said: “This is one of the most prominent sites as you come into the city centre. The client and the design team have worked closely with the City Council and local groups to ensure the design responds to this opportunity. The scheme has the potential to offer some of the best apartments in the city.”

Work on the scheme is expected to begin in late 2016.
