Energy saving specialist switches on 250 more jobs

SPECIALIST energy saving company Exchange Utility is creating 250 new jobs and expanding into new premises, just two years after launching.

The Bury company is expanding into a second building in the town centre and its headcount will grow from 160 to 410 when significant parts of its team moves into the former council building Athenaeum House on Market Street soon.

Exchange Utility will then operate a split-site operation with some staff based at its original base on Bury New Road in the Heap Bridge area of the town.

In a statement released on behalf of directors Kelly Ivison and John Baker the company said it was another significant step in its “meteoric journey to save UK businesses money”.

“We were formed with a vision of becoming the UK’s go-to company for business energy and utility savings,” it said.

Bury represented the perfect fit for our company to continue to prosper, and make a real contribution to the local community.

“This move puts us at a central location to attract potential employees from right across the borough.

“It will give our employees excellent access to transport, leisure and retail. We are a company that pride ourselves on our friendly culture, and our mission to save businesses money.”
