Accountant on the hunt for tax talent

ACCOUNTANT and business adviser Bennett Verby is embarking on a recruitment drive to expand its tax team.
The Stockport-based firm is looking to take on six new recruits to meet the demands of its growing client base.
Bennett Verby, which has an office in Manchester city centre, is recruiting at all levels from senior manager to tax apprentice in a move that will more than double the size of the team from five members to 11.
Managing director Bernard Verby said the recruitment drive for the tax team is the first of a number of planned team expansions over the coming months as the firm looks to significantly boost its presences in the North West as well as in the South East.
He said: “It has been an excellent 12 months and demand for our services has increased across all areas of the business in particular in the tax team where we now have to more than double the number of employees to meet our clients’ needs.
“We will be looking to boost staff numbers across a number of areas we fulfil our ambitious expansion plans.”
