EASI-DRIVE, a Manchester firm which provides vehicles to people involved in accidents, has signed a shirt sponsirship deal with Stockport County.

The company’s logo now features on the back of players’ shirts at the League Two club which was bought out of administration in June by a consortium of entrepreneurs and fans including chief executive Sean Connolly and chairman Alwin Thompson.

Under the terms of the sponsorship deal the club will also carry Easi-Drive’s logo on its matchday programme, tickets and team balls for all home events.

Simon Bellamy, managing director of Easi-Drive, said: “We are delighted to provide some support to our local club and become part of its great history. Following the buyout this year things are looking up. We wish them great success for the season ahead and look forward to a long and successful relationship.”

County chairman Alwin Thompson said: “We are delighted to have Easi-Drive as our back-of-shirt sponsor for this season. Easi-Drive has been extremely supportive of Stockport County over the years, for which we are truly grateful.”
