Missguided set to open first store

ONLINE retailer Missguided is reported to be ready to open its first physical store at Westfield Stratford City.

The ambitious Salford-based company, which has so far eschewed having physical stores, is taking on a 16,100 sq ft unit on the first floor of the Westfield shopping centre, Retail Week said.

Missguided, which has a turnover of £81m and profits of close to £5m in 2015, appointed former Bench executive Andy Marsh as its head of retail in January.

The company, which was founded by Nittin Passi in 2008, has dipped its toe in the waters of physical stores already. Last June it opened a concession with Selfridge’s at the Trafford Centre.

The company did not respond to TheBusinessDesk’s request for comment.
