Crowdfunding platform launches city office

CROWDFUNDING platform InvestingZone is launching its new office Manchester with two companies – Vapour Cloud and Reacta Biotech – offering investment opportunities.

IZ announced the strategic merger with established corporate finance house Acceleris Capital in February and the two companies are the first to get involved since the collaboration was announced.

Vapour Cloud has completed a £1m fundraise through two institutions, private individuals and Barclays and is now offering an opportunity to IZ users.

IZ chief executive Jean Miller said: “Vapour is the first to cohesively offer all-encompassing cloud services for business, and has an order book of more than £5m, making it a strong investment opportunity.”

Meanwhile, Reacha Biotech has development an oral food challenge kit where, under medical supervision, the patient eats a rising dose of the food allergen.

A “threshold” dose can be established and tailored treatment plans can be put in place.

The company is seeking regulatory approval from the UK, EU and the US, in what could revolutionise the testing diagnosis of peanut allergy. The company is a spin-out of the University of Manchester.

IV is not only back by Acceleris Capital, but receives support from fast growing investment and corporate finance advisory house Seneca Partners.
