Regulatory information firm swallowed by Instem

DEESIDE regulatory information management specialist Samarind has been acquired by Instem, a provider of IT services to the global early development healthcare market.

Law firms Squire Patton Boggs and Hill Dickinson have advised on the deal, the value of which has not been disclosed.

Samarind provides a service to the life sciences sector which significantly improves the quality of regulatory information and helps achieve and maintain compliance for pharmaceutical, biotech and medical device products.

Squire Patton Boggs advised Stone, Stafford-based Instem , led by Giles Chesher with support from Laura Green. The sellers were advised by a team from Hill Dickinson led by Ian Riggs and including James Down with corporate finance adviser Greg Barker of Strategic Corporate Finance also advising the sellers.
