Work starts on town centre residential development

ARTEZ – a specialist in residential and commercial construction – has started work on a new residential development in Altrincham town centre’s up-and-coming Goose Green, on behalf of developer Novo Property Group, in Greater Manchester.
Designed by architects Calderpeel, the scheme – named The Tannery – will comprise 13 one-bedroom apartments ranging in size from 380 to 485sq ft.
The site, which was previously occupied by a workshop, was obtained by Novo in December 2014 with planning permission for nine apartments. Amended plans for a 13-apartment development were submitted and accepted in July 2015.
Ben Fearns, director of Novo, said: “Goose Green has undergone considerable regeneration over the last few years, with a number of new bars, restaurants and fitness facilities appearing. We’re thrilled to provide luxury property in a thriving location for young professionals and singles.
“We’re confident that Artez’s vast experience in residential development will ensure the scheme is of the highest quality, bringing a burst of style and elegance to the area.”
Mike Banton, managing director at Artez, added: “We’ve seen a major increase in residential contracts, which has been a real boost for the local economy and housing market. Schemes like The Tannery reflect the industry’s response to the need for good quality, residential development.”
The apartments, ranging in value from £139,950 to £159,995, have been released with five plots already reserved. The Tannery is due for completion in December 2016.
