Warehouse bought for £1.3m ahead of major revamp

A WAREHOUSE on Whitehouse Vale Industrial Estate in Preston Brook, Cheshire has been sold for £1.3m.

Acting on behalf of Brake Brothers, Cushman & Wakefield has disposed of the 99,000sq ft facility on Ashtonfields Road.

MCR has now acquired the property and plans to carry out a substantial refurbishment and reconfigure the property to provide around 77,000sq ft of modern warehouse/production space.
 
Chris Brown of Cushman & Wakefield said: “This was the third and final disposal that we have secured for Brake Brothers following our instruction last year to dispose of its surplus North West industrial assets totaling 247,000sq ft.
 
“The company had consolidated its storage and distribution to a new facility at Omega North.

“The completion of these deals means that we have successfully released good levels of capital from these assets for our client and provided some much needed second hand stock to the property investment and occupier market.”
