Parklife festival returns to Heaton Park in Manchester this weekend where more than 200 acts will perform across eight stages at the event. The festival, which has become one of the most anticipated events on the festival calendar in recent years, will see acts like The Chemical Brothers, Major Lazer, Wolf Alice and Jack Garratt perform to crowds of 75,000 people each day. Disney CruiseSprinkle some Disney magic
Liverpool’s Pier Head is set to come alive on Sunday with the Disney Magic ship making her second visit to the city. The ship will arrive into the city in the morning with the party kicking off at midday. There will live music, an outdoor cinema playing sing-a-long classics like Mary Poppins, Toy Story and Frozen and a magic garden for you to explore. Head to Waterside Arts Centre in Sale on Saturday to celebrate her Majesty The Queen’ 90th Birthday. The event will play host to a musical celebration with Sale Brass and special guests like Di Voci Women’s Choir and the principal Euphonium player from Leyland Band James Mcleod. Look around, everybody’s grooving to a brand new sound! The internationally adored 60’s musical Hairspray returns to Altrincham Garrick Theatre this weekend, so get backcombing your do and sing along with fabulous score including the likes of Good Morning Baltimore and Without Love. The story, which follows teenager Tracy Turnbland who dreams of becoming a star on a local TV dance show, portrays what the 60’s was like in America with race issues as well as all the usual teen issues like boys and parents.
