Duo aiming to hit heights with UK’s biggest trampoline park

FLIP Out has announced plans to launch the UK’s biggest trampoline park site in Cheshire, creating 100 new jobs.

The company behind Flip Out Stoke in Stoke is part of a worldwide Flip Out franchise which originated in Australia about two years ago.

Local businessmen Elliott Shuttleworth and Matthew Melling were the first franchise holders to bring Flip Out to the UK, creating 65 jobs when they opened their arena at the former City Link depot on Stone Business Park last December.

They have now acquired a 53,000 sq ft site near Cheshire Oaks and submitted plans to open what would be one of the world’s largest trampoline park attractions.

Subject to planning approvals, Flip Out Chester will open this October.

In its first six months of operation the team at Stoke has welcomed more than a quarter of a million visitors, including more than 10,000 attending birthday.

Now the two entrepreneurs behind the venture have created a further 4,000 sq ft of facilities within their existing arena, continuing to develop currently unused space within their existing indoor arena.

Melling, 26, said: “Since our launch we’ve focused heavily on creating a really fun, welcoming and positive family attraction in the area that allows the whole family to come and spend time together.

Shuttleworth, also 26, added: “Our youngest member is eight months old and our oldest is in their 90s.

“Now we’ve expanded the Stone centre with the start of our fitness classes, and the creation of new facilities which opened on the 23rd July. These areas included free running areas, ‘Flip Street tumble track’, ‘Shipping Container’, ‘Tower Jump’ and ‘Pinball’.”
