The Great Village Bake Off returns to Manchester’s Gay Village this weekend for its fourth year. The event will be hosted by Manchester’s Misty Chance with special guest judges Sandy Docherty, who won the nations heart with her sense of humour on BBC’S The Great British Bake Off in 2015, and Howard Middleton, who was on series four of the show in 2013. Counterfeit SixtiesSwing back to the sixties
Re-live the sounds of the swinging sixties on Saturday night at the Old Station in Morecambe. Britain’s number one tribute show, The Counterfeit Sixties, will be bringing the magic of the era to the evening with music from over 25 bands from the time, including The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, The Who, The Kinks and The Monkees. Woolton Drama Group are returning to Sefton Park Palm House with the glorious family spectacular ‘The Wind in the Willows’ on Sunday. You and the kids will meet all the favourite characters and follow their journey to save Toad and Toad Hall from the weasels. Shows at the Sefton Palm house begin at 1pm, 3pm and 7pm. Hopeful and Glorious Art Fairs are stopping by at Scorton Village Hall on Sunday, so get crafty this weekend with your family and friends. The fair will offer contemporary, unique, quirky and inspiring art, craft and design as well as a chance to meet the makers and of course, take home some timeless treasures. Sky Ride LiverpoolOn your bike!
Cyclists will take to the streets of Liverpool this weekend for a traffic-free bike ride through the city. Take in the wonderful views and sounds of the city on the Sky Ride, which starts and finishes at Sefton Park from 10am to 2pm on Sunday. As well as cycling, riders will be encouraged to join in with bike-themed activities and will also be entitled to a free expert bike check. Find out more here.
