SIS makes key senior appointments

EAST Lancashire-based sports nutrition specialist Science in Sport has made two senior appointments.

The AIM-listed Nelson company has made Dr Robert Child its chief scientific officer and Dr James Morton is its world class knowledge director. Both appointments are effective from today (September 1).

Child was most recently a performance biochemist at Team Katusha, a leading World Tour professional cycling team.

Morton has worked as a nutrition consultant for a number of high-profile sport associations, namely The Football Association, Liverpool Football Club as well as Team Sky.

SIS chief executive Stephen Moon said of the appointments: “They both bring a deep scientific experience in sports nutrition and a long track record of working with elite athletes helping to improve their performance and overall health and recovery.

“Our brand’s heritage is built on science and innovation, with elite usage and insight underpinning that. Robert’s and James’ skills will be an undoubted asset as we seek to continue to deliver new innovative products and build our international presence in the global endurance sports nutrition market.”
