Historic hotel in seaside town on market for £10.5m
THE Grade II-listed Imperial Hotel in Blackpool has been put up for sale for £10.5m.
The Hotel Collection, represented jointly by Savills and Rothschild is marketing the property which dates back to the 19th century and has played an important role in the Lancashire seaside town’s history.
It served as a hospital for shell-shocked officers in World War I and as the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food in World War II.
Now a four-star hotel, it features 180 bedrooms, plus a restaurant, bar, health club and 14 conference rooms catering for up to 600 delegates.
The Imperial Hotel on the North promenade has hosted numerous famous guests since it opened in the1860s, including Charles Dickens, Winston Churchill, Fred Astaire, The Beatles, Princess Margaret and Princess Anne.
The property offers spectacular sea views and close proximity to Blackpool Zoo, Blackpool Tower and Blackpool Pleasure Beach.

The Imperial Hotel is one of a 10 regional UK hotels – known collectively as Project Solstice – which are currently being sold by The Hotel Collection.
