Wilmslow revs up for motor show

MOTOR enthusiasts are in for a treat this weekend with the annual motor show returning to Wilmslow this Saturday.

The event, which is now in its fourth year, will display prestige vehicles, supercars, superbikes as well as boats from some of the biggest names in the world.

The motor show will welcome Chester Harley Davidson for the first time. It will be displaying their custom made bike which has been created specifically for the show.

The event, which is organised by the Wilmslow Business Group, is expected to bring over 30,000 visitors to the town.

Catherine Mackenzie chairman of the Wilmslow Business Group, who organises the event said:” The Motor Show is a great family day out, bringing real vibrancy to the town centre. This will be the fourth Motor Show that the Business Group has delivered to the town and we plan on this one being even better than previous ones.”

The likes of BMW Motorrad and Williams Motorcycles will also display at the event and the Sporting Bears Motor Club will enable visitors to experience the drive of their life in an Aston Martin, Ferrari or Bentley.

Steve Kennedy of Mailboxes etc, who was the brainchild of the Motor Show back in 2012, said: “We get a real buzz from the day which is a win-win for all involved – the retailers, restaurants and bars see an increase in business; the dealers get to showcase their vehicles; and the town gets a great day out.”

The event is free to attend and is taking place 10am until 4pm in Wilmslow Town Centre, along Grove Street, Bank Square and Alderley Road service road.
