Born to boogie…first ever disco festival

REVELLERS who are born to boogie are in for a treat this month with Liverpool’s first ever Disco Festival which is set to dance into the city later this month.
The festival, which is taking place in Liverpool’s creative quarter Baltic Triangle on Saturday October 29, has been arranged by locals Hustle and Croatia’s SuncéBeat.
Hustle has set the city’s soundtrack for state-side house sounds for a number of years in Liverpool, with weekly parties introducing many names and bringing back old flames and SuncéBeat is one of Croatia’s leading festivals set in country’s town of Tisno.
Bringing together some of the most iconic global names together from the disco, house, garage, soul and funk spectrum for one magical day and night, Liverpool Disco Festival will be celebrating all things soulful, seductive and scintillating.
The event will run from midday to midnight with after parties taking things late into the night. The festival promises mesmerising live shows and DJ master classes from some of the world’s biggest artists, set in some of Liverpool’s most exciting environments.
Acts including Inside Out’s Odyssey, Masters at Work’s legend Louie Vega and Dimitri From Paris will take to the stage in five venues in the Baltic Triangle; The Great Baltic Warehouse, New Bird Street Warehouse, The Botanical Garden, Constellations and 24 Kitchen Street. The venues will also feature state of the art soundsystems and lighting.
Other acts include Spen and Karizma, who will be going back to back covering everything from Afro-funk to broken beat and hip-hop. Techno titan Juan Atkins will play a special Detroit Classics Set and John Morales will return to Liverpool.
The partying then continues deep into the night with a ‘Lumberjacks in Hell’ special with Rahaan, Red Greg, Marvel Vogel and Mr Mendel at Constellations.
