£15m luxury homes launched in idyllic rural location

INDEPENDENT house builder Russell Homes is launching its new £15m luxury development near Rochdale in Greater Manchester.

Greenbooth Village is in the Naden Valley and comprises 42 three, four and five-bedroom houses and is Russell’s largest up-market scheme.

Construction is underway, with the first completions set for the new year. The developer saw more than 400 people pre-register their interest in the scheme – where prices range from £269,995 to £575,995 –  and three properties have already been sold off plan.

The development is being launched to the public this week with the formal opening of the sales and marketing suite.

Andrew Russell, Russell Homes managing director, said: “There is a lack of high quality new build family homes in this area.

“Local buyers often have to look outside the borough, or otherwise compromise on size, specification or location when moving up the ladder. We hope this development will help to meet that demand and draw in purchasers from further afield who fall in love with the stunning location. Greenbooth Reservoir is an idyllic setting and deserves a development of the highest standards.”

Situated at the top of Over Town Lane, off Edenfield Road in the hills above Norden, Greenbooth Village has been created in the style of a traditional hillside hamlet. The homes will be finished with a natural stone façade typical of the area and sensitive to the rural environment.

Designed by Trafford-based architecture and planning firm MPSL, Greenbooth Village includes green spaces and pedestrian walkways to allow residents and visitors access to the reservoir edge and the surrounding woodland.
