Regeneration firm helping to transform North Wales seaside town

REGENERATION specialist Galliford Try Partnerships is playing its part in the ongoing transformation of the seaside town of Rhyl in North Wales, working with Pennaf Housing Group to deliver new affordable homes for the area.

The Warrington-based business was appointed by Pennaf Housing Group, which includes Clwyd Alyn Housing Association, to deliver 20 two and three-bedroom homes located on Gronant Street and Abbey Street in the town.

A number of the new homes will be available under the Homebuy initiative, allowing people who either live or work in the area, the opportunity to own their own home.

Brendan Blythe, managing director for Galliford Try Partnerships North West, said: “We have been working hard with Pennaf Housing Group and the local council to keep the development moving forward. We are extremely pleased with the progress we have made on site to date, and look forward to providing high quality housing for people who live and work in the area.”

Deiniol Evans, director of development for Pennaf, said: “We’re pleased to be working with Galliford Try Partnerships on this important development and to see how well the new homes are progressing.”

The homes have been made possible thanks to partnership support from Denbighshire County Council and the Welsh Government. Representatives from all of the partner agencies visited the development this week including Cllr Ann Davies, Chairman of Denbighshire County Council.

The homes are part of Pennaf’s £4.5m investment into housing regeneration in Rhyl, working in partnership with the Welsh Government and Denbighshire County Council, to transform housing in the heart of the town around the new ‘Gerddi Heulwen’ Green Space area.
