People on the move: Pareto FP; Stagecoach Merseyside and South Lancashire; Story Homes

MANCHESTER-based financial planning consultancy Pareto FP has hired Alex Savage after the company increased its turnover to £3.4m, up 26% on last year.
 
Savage joins the 37-strong team from Wealthcare, after spending five years advising at Rigby Financial.
 
The Leeds born financial adviser, who lives in South Manchester, described Pareto FP as an “ambitious and dynamic company with great connections across the city”.

She said: “It’s great to join Pareto FP at a time when turnover is increasing and the team is expanding.
 
Pareto FP was founded eight years ago by John Stevenson and George Chantry, and has boosted its headcount by 10 in the past year. The company’s business model is based on working with accountants via formal introducer arrangements.

Pareto FP managing director John Stevenson said: “Alex has a wealth of experience and we’re delighted to have her on board. Her passion for the industry and her ambitious outlook will fit well into the Pareto culture.”

Savage will be working from one of Pareto’s well-established introducers, accountancy practice Alexander & Co as its dedicated IFA.

STAGECOACH Merseyside and South Lancashire has bolstered its Liverpool management team with two new appointments.
 
The company welcomes Alex Crane as operations manager and Neil Bolton as engineering manager.
 
Crane began his career with Stagecoach in 1998, starting as a trainee driver and progressed quickly, securing roles as a driving instructor and then inspector.

After completing the Stagecoach staff development scheme, he secured his first managerial role and has subsequently held operations management roles in Aberdeen and Wigan.

His new role is based in Stagecoach’s Gillmoss depot in Liverpool where he is responsible for over 400 drivers.

A skilled vehicle technician with more than 20 years’ experience within the commercial vehicle and mechanical engineering sectors, Bolton started his career as an apprentice vehicle fitter at Wirral Borough Council, before moving to Mersey Tunnels where he maintained highway and emergency response fleets.

Over the past five years Bolton has worked for ESSAR UK on Stanlow Oil Refinery (formerly Shell UK) as part of the management team. Neil will be based at Gillmoss bus depot’s garage and will lead a team of over 60 engineers to maintain 164 vehicles.

CARLISLE-based housebuilder Story Homes has boosted its senior team in the North West with the appointment of its second sales manager.

The award-winning residential property developer, which has schemes across northern England and Scotland, has brought in Richard Kitson to head up the sales team across the region, alongside Clare Wilson.
 
Kitson brings almost 10 years of sales experience to the role and will co-manage a team of nine advisors. He is a former employee of developer Persimmon Homes.

He said: “Securing leads and closing sales is my passion and I’ve been able to hone my skills over the past decade, learning from others to devise strategies that work for both me and my team.

As part of his new role, Kitson will drive sales at Story Homes’ schemes across the North West, including sites at Pendleton Grange in Clitheroe, Brookwood Park in Kirkham, The Pastures in Hambleton. He will also be opening his first development in February 2017 – Willows Edge at Wrea Green in Lancashire.
