The recipe for a successful event

CHOOSING the right venue is an obvious first step. Gone are the days the only option was hotels – there are a host of interesting, quirky and inspiring venues – we like to think Alderley Park fits this category.

Ask yourself where your delegates are coming from – do they need car parking, or is rail access more important?

With planning and preparation comes a third ‘p’ – and that is partnership with your venue. For example, they can advise you on the best use of space, how to use break-out rooms and when. It’s a lot more than a box-ticking exercise.

Many venues, including ourselves, have  dedicated resources to help you fine-tune your event, ensuring your delegates immediately feel at ease and engaged.

An effective warm-up or fun icebreaker can set the tone for the event. Stimulate creativity and encourage teamwork by kicking off your event with a group exercise such the ‘human rollercoaster’.

It may be too early to call time on a British breakfast institution – the bacon sandwich – but we are seeing increasing demand for our new and innovative catering options.

Our in-house team will work with you to create a bespoke menu – be it quirky or traditional – so if you want to swap tea and coffees for caffeine-free alternatives and healthy fruit juices you can.

Our event management team is there to make sure the day goes without a hitch – particularly when the great British weather impacts your plans for a fun outdoor session!
