Piste owner acquires another Cheshire restaurant

JAMES Hughes, owner of Piste Wine Bar & Restaurant in Tarporley, Cheshire has successfully acquired Folks in Sandbach, which had a guide price of £340,000.

The acquisition marks the company’s second site.  Leisure property specialists Fleurets brokered the deal on behalf of Phil Nuttall and said the property received strong interest.

Nuttall said: “I am not a leisure operator. The building has been in our family for a number of years but my main business is car sales.

I am the managing director of Motor Save Direct, which is a car supermarket based in Crewe, Cheshire. I felt I would be better selling Folks and releasing funds to put into my main business where I could make a better return.”

Hughes said: “We’re thrilled to be taking on The Folks in Sandbach. We are looking to take our brand forward.  We love the building and the area and after a significant refit we’re looking forward to opening.”

The town centre bar and restaurant has space for 78 covers, plus a patio area to the front and rear.
