Project One in MBO
RMS advises on changes at Crewe company

ONE of the UK’s largest independent consultancy specialists Project One Consulting has undergone a management buy-out.

Crewe-based Project One specialises in leading and delivering complex change, working shoulder to shoulder with many of the UK’s leading organisations to deliver transformational and business-critical change.

Ian Latham, David Baggott and Helen Brocklebank from RSM Corporate Finance team in the North West advised the management team, including Terry Holland, Paul Clark and Neil Finnie, on the transaction; while Lockett Loveday McMahon acted as their legal advisers. The funding for the MBO was provided by NatWest.

After co-founding Project One 18 years ago, Ian Hellens will retire from the business and Holland will take on the role of managing director with the support of the management team.

Holland, said: “We have worked together as a management team for a number of years and we are excited by the opportunity to lead our dedicated, high-impact staff forward to continue our growth and success.”

Latham, corporate finance partner at RSM, said: “We have worked with Project One and the management team over many years, and have seen the business develop and grow over that time. I am delighted that we have been able to support the management team to make this change as the business looks ahead to its future success.”
