MediaCity tries to woo creatives to The Greenhouse
PEEL Media, the developer of MediaCityUK is seeking to woo small creative businesses to a new location on the landmark site.
Plans have been submitted to Salford City Councilto convert a three storey building next to the Pie Factory into a range of office suites.
The development known as The Greenhouse is adjacent to the Pie Factory and the new campus for the University of Salford.
So far the building has been used as the site office for construction firm Bovis Lend Lease, which is buildin g MediaCity phase one.
Stephen Wild, managing director of real estate at Peel Media, said: “The Greenhouse will provide self contained office suites spread over three floors. It is located less than a minute’s walk from the new tram terminus at the heart of MediaCityUK and complements the media hub we’ve created at The Pie Factory.

Architects Stephenson Bell, have designed the plans for the exterior and interior of The Greenhouse and work will begin when planning permission has been granted.
