Packaging firm’s £50K investment into new digital platform

MANCHESTER-based packaging manufacturer and supplier Duo UK has invested £50,000 in a customer online ordering e-portal and appointed a new transport provider.
 
The e-portal means Duo UK’s customers, including JD Williams, Tesco and Landsend, will now be able to complete their packaging orders from their pc, tablet or phones at any time of day.

The online order facility is designed to give customers instant access to the information they need to effectively manage their business.

In addition, Duo UK has appointed Walkers Transport to manage all its UK wide distribution requirements. Operating a fleet of over 90 vehicles from its sites in Manchester and Leeds; Walkers Transport are well positioned to not only meet the demands of Duo UK but also to integrate seamlessly with the launch of the new ePortal. 

The eportal will be release is due to launch in this month.

Duo UK commercial director Anthony Brimelow said: “We wanted to bring the B2C online customer order experience into the B2B world, and working with some of the UK’s biggest online retailers who have incredibly sophisticated ecommerce websites, we knew we had to impress.”

Duo UK has been manufacturing and supplying bespoke mailbags, luxury paper bags, fabric bags, gift boxes, tissue and ribbon since 1988 and can proudly name some of the leading retail and e-retail brands, such as JD Williams, Landsend as its longstanding customers.
