Major player Burn joins db symmetry

Db symmetry has announced the appointment of Dan Burn as development director in a move which will further support the company’s property development strategy across the North West.

Burn joins the company after 16 years at international property agency JLL, 11 of which were at King Sturge until the consultancy was acquired in 2011.

Over the last four years, he has been head of the North West industrial and logistics team, advising clients such as Miller Developments, Harworth Group and Peel Logistics and has led on some of the region’s most high profile schemes including Omega, Warrington; Logistics North, Bolton; and Airport City, Manchester.

Based at db symmetry’s Manchester office, Burn will work on existing projects including Ma6nitude in Middlewich, Cheshire, where the company, in a joint venture with Pochin, is bringing forward a pipeline of development plots to accommodate a range of buildings from 90,000 to 600,000 sq ft of manufacturing and logistics space.

Andrew Dickman, director at db symmetry, said: “Dan needs no introduction. His impressive track record and high reputation, having worked at senior level in one of the UK’s most respected agencies, will further strengthen our team at management level and his appointment reinforces our commitment to the long-term development plan we have in place”.

Burn said: “This is a rare opportunity to join a well-funded and highly capable firm, and was simply one I couldn’t turn down. I believe my skills and experience of working with both institutional investors and occupiers will complement and add to the strong team that is already there.”
