Property firm acquires key facility near airport for £1.5m

Renold House

Property Alliance Group is expanding Trident Business Park at Manchester Airport after completing a £1.5m deal to acquire Renold House from District Estates.

The 18,000sq ft vacant building, next to Trident on Styal Road, will be refurbished by Alliance into Grade A office space and expanded with an additional floor bringing the total space to 27,000 sq ft.

To be rebranded as ‘The Landing’, rent will be offered at £17.50 per sq ft.
Alex Russell, director of Property Alliance said: “Since acquiring Trident in 2015 and transforming the development, there’s been a huge demand for space with the site already 90% let.

“Renold House offered an ideal opportunity to further strengthen our offer and ensure we can continue to meet this demand. Our investment in the property will bring it up to the same high standard as Trident and strengthen the site’s position as a first-class business location.

“Occupiers will not only benefit from high-quality accommodation but the business park’s broad range of amenities such as a gym and outdoor sports pitch plus exclusive shuttle bus to and from the airport and Metrolink.”

Work on the refurbishment and expansion is due to start this month and be completed by September 2017.

Alliance bought Trident Business Park in January 2015 for £5.2m and has invested a further £7m in a refurbishment programme to provide 88,000sq ft of Grade A space. Just 12,000sq ft remains.
