Liverpool FC unveil Moore as new chief executive

Liverpool Football Club have announced Peter Moore will replace departing chief executive Ian Ayre.

Moore, 61, is chief competition officer of US company Electronic Arts. He will take up his new role in June and will report to the club’s owners Fenway Sports Group.

He has spent almost a decade at EA, where he has also served as chief operating officer and president of EA Sports.

Moore has also held senior roles with Microsoft, SEGA and Reebok.

Ayre is living his post today (Tuesday, February 28), three months ahead of schedule and will become the general manager of German second division side 1860 Munich in the summer.
