Oldham warehouse changes hands for £6m

BC Real Estate, acting on behalf of PP Group, has acquired Drury Point, a 110,000sq ft single- storey warehouse in Oldham for £6m from Quidnet Capital Partners.

PP Group – a steel fabrication and welding company with a metal processing group operating laser, flame, plasma, stress relieving, grinding, water jet cutting and various fabrication facilities – had been looking to expand and consolidate its North West operations for more than two years but had failed to procure suitable premises.

John Barton, partner at BC Real Estate, said: “PP Group approached us to help address its relocation plans.

“Owing to our extensive market knowledge and contacts, we identified Drury Point as an ideal solution that would suit PP Group’s requirements.

“We were able to successfully create an opportunity and agree a deal that would have otherwise not been available enabling PP Group to finally implement its long term business strategy for growth.”

BC Real Estate has been retained as the sole agents for the three units that PP Group previously occupied.  The units, of 27,000sq ft, 10,500 sq ft and 30,000 sq ft, which are situated in St Helens, Salford and Gorton and will be available on a sale basis.

Savills represented the vendor, Quidnet Capital Partners.
