Traffic alert: Collision on M62 closes two lanes

There has been a collision on the M6, southbound at J17 and police are closing all lanes.

Police say a full road closure may be in place for some time as the road will need to be resurfaced.

Ambulances are at the scene and police are arranging recovery for the vehicles involved.

All lanes have reopened on the M62 westbound between J19 and J18, following an earlier accident.

Long delays from J21 remain.
