Auction House NW on course for more than 100 lots at Macron Stadium event

Auction House North West is on target for its biggest property sale since its launch in December.
The vast range of properties on offer is set to top 86 lots entered when the auction goes ahead at Bolton Wanderers’ Macron Stadium on Thursday, March 23.
Auction House, which has franchised to over 45 regions in the UK, enjoyed its second-best month nationally in its 10-year history in February with 466 lots sold, totalling 77.4% success rate throughout the Nation and raising £57.7m.
In the North West, February’s auction attracted more than 400 bidders, and Auction House North West Head of Marketing Mathew Tattum said is expecting that number to be exceeded at next week’s event.
“Despite the 3% stamp duty for landlords and second home owners coming into force last April, we are growing stronger and stronger,” said Tattum.
He said that the North West is now close to the top of the Auction House leader board since its three component areas – Manchester, Merseyside, and Lancashire – were merged into one when the Auction House North West regional franchise was launched three months ago.
Up for grabs at the Bolton event will be a full range of properties – from a £150,000 fish and chip shop with a flat above to Office & Retail Investment in Trafford Park producing£70k a year with a guide price of £550,000 and not forgetting plots of land with a NIL Reserve.
“Our catalogue features industrial, retail, offices, hotel and leisure, investment and development properties, as well as some superb residential properties,” said Tattum.
The Auctions are also attracting “trade floor” professionals from security companies, letting agents, property managers, architects, solicitors, accountants and finance specialists, who Tattum said get “exclusivity” at the event.
Mainstream banks, receiverships, housing associations and private individuals all form part of the Auction House North West client base alongside a developing interest from local authorities.
Auction House North West has also launched a mobile-friendly website to make access to its services more easily available.
“We have put a lot of work into making sure Auction House is the number one property brand in the UK and we aim to keep it that way. Our next goal is to top 100 lots entered in our May Auction, where we also hope to achieve National coverage on some very exciting properties.” added Tattum.
