Appointments: Stowe hires new NW head; Abley joins Barclays & more

STOWE Family Law has appointed a new managing partner to its office in Altrincham, Cheshire, following the deoparture of Robin Charrot to Manchester firm George Davies.

Kate Rayner, who has joined from Bolton-based Russell & Russel will head the Yorkshire-firm’s North West team based on Oxford Road in the town.

She is a specialist in high net worth family law cases and those involving family businesses or other business interests.

She said: “Stowe Family Law is one of Cheshire’s leading specialist firms and, as a trained collaborative lawyer, the firm’s client-focused and conciliatory approach to family law was a big attraction to me.”

RICHARD Abley has been appointed as the area manager for Barclays Business in the North Manchester area.

He will manage a team of 20 business managers across Manchester city centre, Oldham, Ashton, Salford, Prestwich and Middleton.

Richard brings a wealth of experience to the role, having spent more than 30 years in the financial services sector and most recently managed the local business team in South Lancashire.

LAW firm Irwin Mitchell has strengthened its medical law and patient’s rights team in Manchester with the appointment of associate solicitor Jennifer Cawthorne.
