Franklin to open fifth deli in Liverpool’s Metquarter

FRANKLINS Deli, the rapidly-expanding chain whose first outlet was launched in Liverpool less than a year ago, is to open a new outlet in Liverpool’s Metquarter shopping development.

The company, which is run by founder Adam Franklin, will open a fully-licensed unit in the former Hamilton’s Cafe site. It will have the capacity to serve 75 people, with 25 seats inside and up to 50 outside. The business has spent £125,000 on the new unit, which is its fifth deli to open since launch.

“The Metquarter is a prime location to tap into the city’s leisure market and allows us to build on the quality food-to-go offer that we have become renowned for in the business quarters of Liverpool and Manchester,” said Adam Franklin.
“We want people to linger a lot longer at the Metquarter, whether they enjoy a long breakfast, coffee, lunch or early-evening meal, we want them to feel comfortable and relaxed.

“We have spent the last four weeks developing the menu, which will remain true to the Franklins Deli ethos of producing excellent products turned into simple dishes that are created using fresh, locally sourced ingredients.”

He said the new unit would be fitted out within four weeks so that it can open in time to take advantage of the busy pre-Christmas trading period. He added that the firm is also looking for a number of other units, and is currently looking at potential openings in Stockport, Leeds and Sheffield.

Metquarter has also let the former Kate Kuba outlet to Daniels Footwear. It was advised on both deals by the Manchester office of law firm Davies Arnold Cooper.
