Share Watch: Driver distributes, Ensor director buys

STEVE Driver, the chief executive of the Driver Group has transferred 11,417 of his shares in the business to family members.

The transfer, worth around £9,000 at today’s share price of 79p, leaves Mr Driver with 3.7 million shares in the business, or 14.31% of the share capital.

The Manchester-based firm, which provide commercial and dispute resolution services to the construction and engineering industries, yesterday revealed a 43% hike in revenue to £18.5m.

Pre-tax profits before exceptional charges were up by 31% to £2.08m. It said its performance was boosted by strong performances in the UK and the Middle East.

ROGER Harrison, a non-executive director at Ensor Holdings has spent the past few weeks building his stake in the business.

In three separate trades he has bought 105,000 shares, taking his holding to 0.4% of the company’s share capital.

Mr Harrison’s buying has coincided with a rise in the group’s price. His first two trades in December and early January took place when the shares were worth 9p. By the time he bought again on January 16 the shares had risen to 17p.

Ensor is a building products to packaging group based in Manchester.
