2ergo dials up Indian venture

MOBILE phone technology group 2ergo today struck a partnership deal with Indian telecoms marketing company Active Media Technologies.
AMT works with most of the mobile telecoms providers in India and provides services to major corporates such as British Airways, ING, Proctor & Gamble, Unilever and ABN Amro.
Under the terms of the business partner programme AMT will promote Lancashire-based 2ergo’s MultiSend product to its mobile network operator clients.
MultiSend will allow the network operators to engage with customers using a range of personalised text, multi-media, voice and e-mail messages via a single application. MultiSend is used successfully by O2 in this country.
Neale Graham. joint chief executive of AIM-listed 2ergo said the Indian market presents a “fantastic growth opportunity” for the company.
“In AMT we have found a partner who not only has great complementary technology but also vast experience of the mobile space in the region.
“With over 300 million mobile subscribers in India, and subscriber numbers increasing by an estimated five to eight million a month, we are confident that this first move into India will deliver substantial rewards for the group.”
