Eddie Stobart motors ahead with £110m contract

HAULIER Eddie Stobart has signed a contract worth more £100m to provide warehousing facilities to confectionery group Nestlé.

Stobart already undertakes some road transport operations for Nestlé and the warehousing contract, which will be worth around £110m over 10 years, further strengthens the relationship between the two groups.

Andrew Tinkler, chief executive of Stobart Group, said: “I am delighted that we have been able to build on our existing relationship with Nestlé by securing this major long-term contract.

“Our warehousing division already occupies in excess of 6 million sq ft of state-of-the-art facilities throughout the UK, and this contract illustrates the way in which we can offer value-added distribution activities to major customers.”
