St Modwen prepares to start Venture Fields
DEVELOPER St Modwen is preparing to start work on its £10m Venture Fields leisure development in Widnes.
The 100,000 sq ft scheme which is being developed with Halton Borough Council is already 96% pre-let.
Work is due to start on site within weeks and the scheme is expected to welcome its first visitors in a year’s time.
The complex will have a five-screen cinema, a bowling alley, a 36,000 sq ft ice rink, a Frankie and Benny’s and a 60-bedroom hotel.
Michelle Taylor, regional director at St Modwen, said: “Venture Fields represents 10 years of hard work by all those involved and is a significant milestone in the regeneration of Widnes Waterfront. It also builds on our ten year track record of raising the profile of the borough and is testament to our partnership with Halton Borough Council.
